Dorothy Govekar Endowed Scholarship

The School of International Letters and Cultures will award $500 scholarships to help students pay for the cost associated with studying abroad. We thank Mrs. Janet Effland and Mr. Bill Urland for creating the fund in honor of Mrs. Effland's mother.

Minimum criteria:

Grants of $500 to $1000 awarded to ASU degree seeking undergraduate and graduate students participating in:

ASU Global Education Office faculty-directed summer programs sponsored by the School of International Letters and Cultures
ASU Global Education Office Global Intensive Experiences (GIE) sponsored by SILC.

Grants of $500 to $1000 awarded to SILC undergraduate majors or SILC students enrolled in a graduate program participating in SILC-approved

ASU study abroad semester or academic year exchange or partnership programs
Research program abroad
GPA requirement 3.0
